Thank you for a wonderfully anointed homily for Good Friday. Especially moving to me was your quoting from the New Vulgate (“consummatum est”) and your quoting from the Pope’s daring but true proclamation of the eros that God has for each of us. Also moving was your story about your discussion on love with your daughter. Your open arms were dramatically effective with the open arms of the giant crucifix behind you. Your words were anointed today. I am sure many others share my reaction.
